My TRUE HAPPINESS compass
There is something deep within that tries to lead us to happiness, TRUE HAPPINESS
Something like a compass with two main poles
TRUE HAPPINESS and TRUE MISERY
And so many different points in between.
The natural inclination of the compass is to lead us to the point of TRUE HAPPINESS
However, out in the wide world are many magnets
Calibrated towards TRUE MISERY
With the task of making you stray of the path
These magnet are masked as so many different things
All cloaked in the illusion of happiness/pleasure
Short term apparitions pretending to be TRUE HAPPINESS
Fleeting moments, quick highs like drug-induced ecstasy
TRUE HAPPINESS is not for a short while
TRUE HAPPINESS is not relaint on quick adrenalin bursts
TRUE HAPPINESS is not someone else's perogative to give
TRUE HAPPINESS transcends materialism and consumerism of today's world
My search for TRUE HAPPINESS is my LIFE'S WORK
I will in everything I do read my inner compass
And interprete all conflicting signals designes to lure me off the path
And I will not let anyone else determine my journey besides me...
If they will, let them come with me,
So together we can TRULY BE HAPPY
This is my desire, This is my life promise!!!

I totaly relate to your post, Longman :) I've been chewing some thoughts about TRUE happiness and TRUE LOVE these days. And how much work it takes to be able to actually be happy as a state of mind and the spirit!

Wanted to say hello and congratulate you for this... :-) Yeah, indeed so right!! No matter what we do but how much loving we put in the doing - and one heart's should be happy, I think. That's the challenge, an everday challenge of an unexpected world of "gifts". Thank you for reminding how important there is for you, for us!
